  Richard’s class is a mixed bag of warm-up exercises (physical and vocal), one-liners, Theatre Games, monologues, scene study and cold reading. Of these, emphasis is placed on the Cold Reading techniques that are necessary to succeed in “office acting.” In addition, brief scenes from sit-coms are blocked, rehearsed and filmed with two cameras for the student to use as a learning tool. They are edited and shot with professional clarity. Twice a year, an Industry Night is scheduled where agents, managers and casting personnel are encouraged to attend an evening of fully rehearsed scenes and/or monologues. Classes are kept small (8-15 people) so that people work more than once during the evening and are held onstage at The Actors Forum Theatre in North Hollywood.
