ACTING WORKSHOPS . . . (relocated to the East Coast)

Richard’s class is a mixed bag of warm-up exercises (physical and vocal), one-liners, scene study and cold reading. Of these, emphasis is placed on the Cold Reading techniques that are necessary to succeed in “office acting.” Twice a year, an Industry Night is scheduled where agents, managers and casting personnel are encouraged to attend an evening of fully rehearsed scenes and/or monologues. The workshop is then taped for the student’s reference.
Emphasis is placed on:
  • Cold Reading
  • Scene Study
  • Monologues
  • Comedy Techniques
  • Audition Preparation

Classes are kept small (8-15 people) so that people work more than once during the evening. (Richard is also available for private coaching by appointment.)

Solo Show Coaching:
Richard conducts private study on how to write and develop your own solo show. The workshop empowers actors to create their own material with the eventual goal of mounting their own show.
